Christian men stood aside and let evil flourish for far too long. We need to get back to our biblical duties to push back against the evil around us.
There are four for the men of God to take back dominion for our Lord and King, Jesus Christ. All are necessary to further the Kingdom of Christ. Some of these tactics are offensive and some are defensive but all are important.
We must protect the family.
God created a family first, not a government, or business, or some other organization. Stable families produce stable individuals. While unstable families produce unstable individuals.
The strength of the Church and state depends on how biblical the families are.
Societal peace and order depend on the biblical authority in the family.
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
[1 Corinthians 14:33 KJV]
We must prepare ourselves physically.
The Bible makes in very clear that our battle is not against flesh and blood. Our command is for spiritual offensive not physical offense.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
[Ephesians 6:12 KJV]
But this is not an excuse to be weak. Brothers, it’s ok to be weak now but it’s never ok to stay weak.
The enemy does not play by our rules and because of this, will use force against the Church as it pleases.
If the men of the Church are fat and weak, how are we to up hold the command to protect the family?
But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
[1 Timothy 5:8 KJV]
Digging into the word “provide” in Thayer’s Greek Lexicon we learn the word means “to take thought for”. In other words, to care for something or someone.
To take thought for or to care for someone includes protecting for that person.
If we don’t provide we are worse than an unbeliever. That’s a pretty serious accusation. So we have to take the protection of the family very seriously.
We must prepare ourselves mentally.
God wants us to study His word. To be intelligent about his doctrine so we can have an answer for all who inquire of us.
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
[2 Timothy 2:15, KJV]
This spiritual intelligence is not the only study in which we should partake. Take the first chapter of Daniel for example.
In chapter 1 verse 4, Daniel tells us that he, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah were skillful in all wisdom and cunning in knowledge.
So much in fact, that when the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all his scholars. (Daniel 1:19-20)
Or, how about our Lord Jesus, he tells us:
“Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.” (Matthew 10:16, KJV)
We can’t be wise as serpents without increasing in knowledge first. The Webster’s 1828 dictionary states the first definition of wise to be, “having knowledge”.

We must prepare ourselves spiritually.
Weak Christianity does not think Jesus is portrayed in the hatred of evil but Proverbs 8:13 commands otherwise.
The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
[Proverbs 8:13 KJV]
The church needs to be on the offensive. Letting evil thrive as long as it leaves us alone is an awful tactic.
Evil will only tolerate God’s people until it outnumbers the Church. Pick up the full armor of God daily and call out the evil around us.
In God’s new covenant, men are to spirituality slaughter the forces of evil. We do this through the confidence we have by the sword of the Spirit.
We live in a world were evil exists, Christian men need to be aggressive and bold against all forms of evil.
